DNA Test Refund Policy

After purchasing a DNA test kit, you have a 6-month window to use your kit and return your samples to our laboratory for testing. If the samples are not received and testing is not initiated within 6 months of the purchase date, your account will be inactivated.

A reactivation fee of $50 will apply to reactivate an inactive account. If you do not use your testing kit within one year from the purchase date, your account will be closed.

If you decide not to proceed with testing, you can request a refund within 30 days from the original order date in accordance with the policies outlined below.

Refund Policy for Private Home Test Kits

If you choose to cancel your order for a home test before the kit has been shipped, you will receive a full refund, minus a $35 administration fee. Alternatively, if you cancel your order after the kit has already been shipped, you will receive a partial refund of 50% on the unused kit, minus the shipping fee.

All requests for refunds must be made within 30 days of the initial order. After 30 days, the cost of the test is non-refundable. Please note that we cannot provide refunds for DNA test kits that have been used or damaged.

Refund Policy for Legal Test Kits (client arranges collection)

If you choose to cancel your order for a legal DNA test kit before the kit has been shipped, you will receive a full refund, minus a $35 administration fee. Alternatively, if you cancel your order after the kit has already been shipped, you will receive a partial refund of 50% on the unused kit, minus the shipping fee.

All requests for refunds must be made within 30 days of the initial order. After 30 days, the cost of the test is non-refundable. Please note that we cannot provide refunds for DNA test kits that have been used or damaged.

Refund Policy for Legal Tests (we arrange specimen collection at one of our collection sites)

For legal tests where we arrange specimen collection at our collection sites, there is a non-refundable deposit of $200.

Once the file has been initiated and scheduling has begun, the cost of the test becomes non-refundable. Additionally, once the sample has been collected and testing begins, the full cost of the test is non-refundable.

To be eligible for a refund, you must submit your request within 30 days of the initial order. After 30 days, the cost of the test is non-refundable. To request a refund, please complete and submit the Refund Request Form.

Missed Collection Appointments

Clients are responsible for attending their scheduled specimen collection appointments. If parties do not show up for their scheduled appointment, the full cost of the appointment still applies, and any additional appointments must be paid for by the client.
