Relationship Tests

“My ex-girlfriend contacted me to say that I may be the father of her 5 year old daughter. Your test proved that I am the true biological father. It’s a life changer. Thank you.”

Jared, SD

“I was very impressed with the ease and discretion of the testing process. I received my results quickly and quietly.”

“My husband has always mentioned that our two children maybe did not belong to him and accused me of being involved with his friend at the time that our children were conceived. I knew that this was not true. We finally decided to get a paternity test done to put an end to this. Sure enough, the results of the paternity test indicated greater than 99.9999% that he was the father of our children. Our family is now closer than ever before.”

R. Stern, Seattle, WA

“A++++. Near the date that my test was scheduled to be completed, I was so nervous that I ended up calling your lab almost once every hour. Thank you for putting up with me. I won’t forget your kindness.”

G. Lopez, NY, NY

The private test is designed for individuals who wish to determine paternity before deciding on the next step. A buccal swab (mouth swab) DNA kit is sent directly to the parties involved for sample collection. The process is quick, easy, and takes just minutes to complete. Once the samples reach the laboratory, testing is completed within 1 to 3 business days.

The legal paternity test is intended for court use and is accepted as legal proof of paternity or non-paternity. If the legal testing option is chosen, the sample is collected by an unbiased third-party witness. DNA Family Check has sample collection facilities in most major cities in the United States and Canada and can arrange professional witnessed sample collection services on the client's behalf.

DNA testing can be performed on individuals at any age. Sample collection can even occur on the day of birth.

For private testing, if the parties involved live at different addresses, we can accommodate this by splitting the kit and sending each part to each address separately. The kits are individually barcode labeled, ensuring they will be tested together once they arrive back at the laboratory.

To order a split kit, simply state "please split this kit" in the comments box of the online order form. Also, indicate which name and address to send each component. Alternatively, you can choose to have the entire kit shipped to you. You can then split the kit yourself and send the components to the other parties involved in the test.

For legal testing, if the parties live in different cities, we can arrange separate appointments for each individual in their respective locations. This ensures that all parties can participate in the testing process, regardless of their geographical location.

If the mother's biological relationship with the child is already established, there's no need to test her. We can provide a conclusive answer regarding paternity without testing the mother.

If the alleged father is deceased, forensic DNA testing can be considered using items which may contain the alleged father's DNA. If it is not possible to obtain a forensic sample for the alleged father, testing his direct relatives can be considered. This could include a grandparent test if his parents are alive, an aunt or uncle test if he has siblings, or a full or half sibling test if the alleged father has other children.

DNA is collected by gently rubbing a brush inside the mouth against the cheek for 15 seconds. The process is safe, painless, and suitable for individuals of all ages, including infants.

Once the samples arrive at our accredited laboratory, your results will be ready in just 1-2 business days. You can easily keep track of your test status within your secure online portal, and we’ll notify you the moment your results are available.

For private testing, access your results securely through our password-protected online portal.

For legal testing, the certified legal document will be mailed to you once the testing has been completed.
